ABOUT ME

Mitch was born in Saint Louis, Missouri where he grew up and spent his adolescence. At 18 he left for New York City to attend the Tisch School of the Arts where he studied film production.

After two years in New York Mitch returned to Saint Louis and began collaborating with the local bands first as an event promoter and then, ultimately, as a mixing engineer. As his interest in audio production and engineering increased Mitch enrolled in the AE program at Webster University and earned his BA under the tutelage of Barry Hufker and the legendary Bill Porter.

Upon graduating Mitch worked for a string of fledgling studios each of which succumbed to the changing landscape of the music and recording industries. In these lean times Mitch turned to other talents for employment including graphic design and typesetting, information technology and systems analysis, and engineering. Having taught a wide number of subjects to students from ages 10 to ~70 Mitch is also an experienced educator with over two decades of teaching experience.

In 2012 Mitch relocated to Miami and began working as a post production engineer first as a dialogue recordist, then as the Head Mastering Engineer, then as Chief Technical Officer at Universal Cinergia Dubbing.

Most of Mitch's spare time goes into his musical projects. He is an avid synthesist and modular enthusiast and performs live electronic sets locally under the name Ngarjuna.
