Mitch began playing music at a young age training casually in piano and singing throughout his youth. As a teenager Mitch studied acoustic guitar under Peter Clemens.

 

At 18 Mitch went off to New York City to attend Uni. During his stay there he failed to keep up with his guitar studies...but picked up saxophones and clarinets as a hobby. Upon returning to St. Louis Mitch studied Audio Engineering under the tutelage of the legendary Bill Porter. It was during his studies as an audio engineer that Mitch returned to music focusing on synthesizers, music software and production.
